Once again, Gathering Stones Community Church will be building a new three room home in Africa for AIDS Orphans. This year we plan to also build an outdoor Community Latrine!
Gathering Stones partners with Nehemiah’s Restoration to Build homes for AIDS Orphans and their families in Africa in cooperation with the local community. These projects are designed to assist the extended-family by employing local labor to build the stick structure of the home, while we provide a short-term international Mission Team and community volunteers to assist in the installation of the mud walls, doors and windows.
In addition, to bring better health to the community, an outdoor Latrine will be Built to help stop contamination to the local surface water in the community.
This project not only provides a safe and efficient home for orphaned children and their extended-family, but it also provides an opportunity for internationals’ to personally engage and care for the people of these impoverished communities!
We will feed the Recipient Family, their employed labors and community volunteers in a joyful celebration as we move the recipient family into their new home! The Gospel is shared and Baptisms for New Believers is Celebrated!
(Easter Mission Offering will be Received during 8:30am and 10:10am services.)
